Funny, provocative and surprisingly accessible, MANUFACTURING CONSENT explores the political life and ideas of world-renowned linguist, intellectual and political activist Noam Chomsky. Through a dynamic collage of biography, archival gems, imaginative graphics and outrageous illustrations, Mark Achbar and Peter Wintonick's award-winning documentary highlights Chomsky's probing analysis of mass media and his critique of the forces at work behind the daily news. Available for the first time anywhere on DVD, MANUFACTURING CONSENT features appearances by journalists Bill Moyers and Peter Jennings, pundit William F. Buckley Jr., novelist Tom Wolfe and philosopher Michel Foucault. This Edition features an exclusive ten-years-after video interview with Chomsky.

Subject: We are NOT sheeple.
@passthehookahville - you're missing the point.

The monied and political elite are the ones calling us sheeple. Professor Chomsky is telling us exactly the opposite - that we have the power to act individually and collectively to improve our lives.

Subject: Higher quality video

There is an MPEG2 (DVD rip) available on the Archive, and a high quality MP4 recode made from it. Enjoy. :)

If you realy want to know what is going on around you ,and you ignore what chomsky says ,then i am sorry for you...especially if you are an american fed with corporate propaganda and still think you will be safe.It will come a day ,they will come for you too.today is timor ,tomorrow might be alabama,or berlin.watch and have your eyes and ears ,but mostly your mind open.

Subject: Manufacturing Consent for the Masses
This documentary successfully converts the insightful, well-written scholarly book Manufacturing Consent and condenses it into a popularly appealing documentary that is probably interesting to a much wider audience. It's interesting to watch even if one has already read the book. This movie is a great tool for introducing people to the concepts. Great to show at a lecture, IMO.

Subject: manufacturing dissent
Noam Chomsky unfold the veils of state patrol.
Beyond cinicism and hypocrisy he points underlying aims and deeds of power logic.
Life rating film. Low profile claims. High standard procedures.
